The work of Tatua Kenya is possible thanks to the support of donors in Kenya and the US. Contributions to Tatua Kenya fund the work of our community organizers, costs associated with Train for Tatua training programs and small grants which fund the beginning of community initiatives started by our Be the Change Project.
All contributions to Tatua Kenya made through our US Fiscal Agent are tax deductible – through PAYPAL or check. Follow the instructions below to support Tatua Kenya.

FAQs about Giving
Where Does My Donation Go?
All donations made to Tatua Kenya go to developing local leadership in Kenya through community organizing. These costs include: salaries for community organizers, teaching materials, local speakers, space rentals and small grants to begin projects in the communities in which we work.
Examples of these projects are a donation drive, training mentors/tutors, starting income generating projects or planting a community garden. In addition, Tatua Kenya provides stipends for volunteers who cannot afford the travel costs required to engage in the work.
As with any organization, Tatua Kenya must also cover salaries and other operational costs. While we minimize our operational costs so they are not wasteful, we do not consider ‘admin’ costs as a separate expense, since they are absolutely necessary to run any effective organization. We know that running a successful organization means paying for qualified administrative as well as executive staff, and creating efficient systems to run the organization.
Can I directly send support to a Kenyan Organization with whom Tatua Kenya works?
Tatua Kenya encourages building long term relationships between donors and individual organizations. For this reason we promote local giving to local projects, we find this allows for a much deeper relationship to develop. If however, you are intent on giving to a specific project we ask you to read about our ongoing projects and contact them via the email listed on our website. Tatua Kenya does not manage funds donated to our partner organizations.
Are Donations to Tatua Kenya Tax Deductible?
Yes, as long as they are made through our fiscal sponsor, Visions Made Viable. To donate to Tatua make checks out to Tatua Kenya Project. Checks can be mailed to
